Travel informationThe conference will be held at West Bohemian Museum in Pilsen (Západočeské muzeum Plzeň) (marked on the map below).View Larger Map How to get to Pilsen?By trainThere are frequent and direct international connections in all directions to and from Pilsen, Central Station. The station is about 10 minutes from the conference venue. By busThere are international coaches running to Prague from many places all over the Europe and many of them pass Pilsen, Central Bus Station directly. Please, check coaches with your local travel agency. The Central Bus Station is about 20 minutes from the conference venue. By planeThe nearest international airport is in Prague. All main airline companies fly to Prague. Please, check Prague Airport sites for details. There is no direct coach from Prague Airport to Pilsen. You can use the public transport (BUS No. 100, runs every 30 minutes, 18 minutes journey) to Zlicin BUS & underground station. You must buy a ticket at the bus station (18 CZK, coins needed) in advance and mark it inside of the bus. From the Zlicin station, there are Student Agency yellow coaches running directly to the Pilsen, Central Bus Station. Please, check Student Agency site for details. It is highly recommended to buy the coach ticket in advance or directly at the Prague Airport (Terminal 1 groundfloor, 5 minutes from the Terminal 2 EU arrivals [except of U.K.]). A ticket costs 90 CZK (4 EUR approx.). Alternatively one can take the subway from Zlicin to Prague central station (in this case, 26 CZK ticket from Prague Airport is needed) and take a train to Pilsen. By carPilsen is on the road from Frankfurt, Nürnberg (Germany), Waidhous/Rozvadov to Prague. In order to use a motorway or express roads in Czech Republic you need a special highway-label (it cost 200,- Kc/7 days, approx. 8 EUR). |
