University of West Bohemia (UWB), represented by the Department of Electric Power Engineering and Environmental Engineering, has extensive experience in the co-operation with the partner universities from neighboring countries - Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Poland, in Socrates-Erasmus projects. Since 1999 the Department has organized the annual intensive training courses, so called intensive programmes (IPs), especially aimed at environmental impacts of power industry.

Západočeská univerzita v Plzni (ZČU), reprezentovaná Katedrou elektroenergetiky a ekologie, již dlouhou dobu spolupracuje s partnerskými univerzitami z okolních zemí - Německa, Rakouska, Slovenska a Polska na projektech Socrates-Erasmus. Od roku 1999 každoročně organizuje intenzivní výukové kurzy, tzv. intenzivní programy (IP), které se zaměřují zejména na otázky vlivu energetického průmyslu na životní prostředí.
