University of West Bohemia (UWB), represented by the Department of Electric Power Engineering and Environmental Engineering, has extensive experience in the co-operation with the partner universities from neighboring countries - Germany, Austria and Slovakia, over a long period of time. They have been co-operating in student and staff mobility and in research over a long period of time. The European Union (EU) programs as Socrates-Erasmus or Tempus have played a significant role in their co-operation.

In years 1999 - 2012 the UWB obtained several Erasmus grants. The funds were used for student and staff mobility, and for organizing the intensive courses, so called intensive programmes (IPs), directed to solving of environmental problems connected with power generation. The UWB co-ordinated the intensive programmes ”Use of Measurement Methods in Solving Environmental Problems”, ”The Effective use of Physical Theories of Conversion of Energy”, ”Distributed Power Generation Systems”, "Environmental Impacts of Power Industry" and  "Renewable Energy Sources". The IPs are implemented in close co-operation with some energy and environmental companies and also municipal offices.

Předchozí intenzivní programy

Západočeská univerzita v Plzni (ZČU), reprezentovaná katedrou elektroenergetiky a ekologie, již dlouhou dobu spolupracuje s partnerskými univerzitami z okolních zemí - Německa, Rakouska a Slovenska.

Katedra elektroenergetiky a ekologie byla koordinĂĄtorem intenzivnĂch programĹŻ ”Use of Measurement Methods in Solving Environmental Problems”, ”The Effective use of Physical Theories of Conversion of Energy” ,  ”Distributed Power Generation Systems” , "Environmental Impacts of Power Industry" a "Renewable Energy Sources". Tyto intenzivnĂ programy byly pořádĂĄny v ĂşzkĂŠ spoluprĂĄci s některĂ˝mi energetickĂ˝mi nebo environmentĂĄlnĂmi společnostmi a takĂŠ s orgĂĄny mĂstnĂ sprĂĄvy.
