Objectives of the IP
The IP course familiarizes students with the complex issue of
the biomass utilization for power and heat production in low-power systems, and
to train future experts who will be able to deal with the new situation in power
industry in
The duration of the intensive courses is 10 working days.
The main aims of the intensive programme are: an integration of a European
academic centres in order to discuss current problems of reduction of CO2
emission by co-combustion of biomass in low-power systems supporting
professional power engineering sector, exchanging experiences from the fields of
new power engineering technologies and selected issues related to environmental
protection as well as enhancing the qualifications of graduates.
The intensive program contributes to the exchange of academic staff
experiences from the field of widely understood power engineering sector with
the biomass production and utilization aspects among countries of Central
European region (
Target groups
The target participants in the IPs are MA or BA students. The courses are open to PhD students too. 20 students from partner universities and 10 students from the UWB take participation on the IP. As English language for communication and teaching materials is used, the courses help to improve language skills of both students and staff.
Outputs of the IP
At the end of the course the IP proceedings is published. The proceedings contains the teaching materials, papers by some of the teaching staff, and also the best student projects carried out during the IP. The proceedings is structured in a way that will enable students at different levels (BA, MA, PhD) to find the information corresponding with their level of understanding the presented topic. All materials are written in English, and are available not only to the partner institutions but also to other institutions and companies that are interested in the topic of the IP.

Cíle projektu
Cílem projektu je seznámit studenty s problematikou využívání biomasy pro výrobu elektrické a tepelné energie v malých energetických jednotkách, a vychovat budoucí odborníky, kteří se budou zabývat novou situací v energetickém průmyslu středoevropského regionu. Zvláštní důraz je kladen na spoluspalování biomasy v kotlích malých výkonů, vlivu na životné prostředí a ekonomických vlivů na lokální trh s elektřinou a teplem. Učitelé a odborníci z praxe seznámí studenty se současným stavem, zkušenostmi a nejnovějšími trendy.

Harmonogram Intenzivního programu
Hlavními cíli intenzivního programu jsou: integrace akademických center za účelem diskuze aktuálních problémů týkající se snižování emisí CO2 prostřednictvím spoluspalování biomasy jednotkách malých výkonů, podpora energetického sektoru, výměna zkušeností na poli nových energetických technologií a technologií ochrany životního prostředí.
Společně připravený a zrealizovaný intenzivní kurz také napomáhá výměně zkušeností akademických pracovníků z regionu střední Evropy v oblasti využití biomasy a její produkce. Vzájemná spolupráce mezi partnerskými institucemi dále napomáhá k zvýšení mobility studentů i akademických pracovníků.
Cílové skupiny
Intenzivního programu se účastní studenti bakalářského a magisterského studia. Kurzů se také mohou účastnit studenti doktorského studia. Programu se účastní 20 zahraničních studentů z partnerských univerzit a 10 studentů ZČU. Protože je výuka vedena v cizím jazyce (anglicky) s využitím cizojazyčných výukových materiálů, kurz napomůže zúčastněným studentům a vyučujícím zlepšit si své jazykové znalosti.
Výstupy
Po skončení kurzu je vydán sborník obsahující výukové materiály, příspěvky některých vyučujících a také nejlepší studentské projekty vypracované během intenzivního programu. Všechny příspěvky jsou v anglickém jazyce. Sborník je dostupný nejen partnerským institucím, ale také ostatním institucím, které se zajímají o danou problematiku.
